Does this kid look like someone you would trust with a knife? Or, you know, trust at all?
Yeah, I'm talking about Alexandre, the son of Yuuka Kazami and Augustine Sycamore. Why, that kid even looks an awful lot like the boss villain of this monster collecting game I was playing the other day, minus the red hair and beard. I'm not surprised even Okuu's Look-alike wants him off the island as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I have the misfortune of having to stand next to him at the docks until another eight ships decide to pull up at Gensokyo Island.
Oh well, perhaps we might be able to get along. There isn't much point in judging people solely on their appearances, anyway. And besides, Gensokyo Island probably has one of the highest concentrations of genocidial maniacs anywhere on this planet, and avoiding them would be like dodging rain.
But appropiately enough, today's character profile is about someone who, just like me, wears a smile on the outside but bears the weight of the grim darkness of reality within them. Well, I think she does, anyway. I, Yuzu, thus present a closer look at the life of Kyouko Kasodani.

Poor, poor Kyouko. She's gone through so much hell despite being one of the few genuinely nice people.

Kyouko Kasodani is the Stage 2 Boss character of Touhou 13: Ten Desires, by Team Shanghai Alice. She is a Yamabiko, a type of youkai that echoes whatever is said to them.
Kyouko is most definitely my favourite character from the entire Touhou Project series. She is both adorable, cheerful, and genuinely nice even to strangers, unlike the majority of the non-human cast who would probably kill/eat/beat up/severely mess with the reality of an ordinary human on a whim. It also helps that her Mii is my favourite of those I've ever created, despite it being one of my earliest efforts. And yes, she says "Good morning!" as her phrase regardless of the actual time of day.
It's only natural therefore that I'm really saddened by how her poor Mii has suffered so much. Let me describe the ways.
We've all heard of 'second honeymoons', but how many of those come after a second wedding? To the same person?

Best Friend: None, formerly Utsuho Reiuji
Children: Mushihime, Yamako, Hachiko
Kyouko has the great sorrow of being the one of the two people on the island to have experienced a divorce - and the greatest misfortune of being the one who got divorced, with the proceedings initiated by Wriggle, who's always been more of the demanding and impatient sort. The poor dear was still so madly in love with Wriggle that she begged to start afresh with her the very next day ... and they were married again within the week. And yet as of the past few days Kyouko seems to have fallen out with her husband again. Only time will tell where they will take their relationship.
As stated previously, she and Utsuho were also the best of friends since the creation of the island, until they returned to just being friends a few days ago (which coincided with each of them falling out with their respective husbands). What on earth could have happened? We can only speculate.
Mushihime, Yamako, and Hachiko. As you can see all three look pretty similar to Kyouko, which may explain some things. Also, Wriggle's parting changed!

Kyouko, canonically, is a member of a punk rock band in Gensokyo together with Mystia Lorelei. Don't ask how it works, it just does. So it only made sense to give her a hard rock song to call her own. Dog and Flea, naturally, has her husband Wriggle backing her up on the electric guitar.
Kyouko, ever the cheerful one. But behind that mask there hides pain, sorrow, and tragedy.

Kyouko is probably the nicest person one can ever meet on Gensokyo Island. And trust me, with the island full of freaks, genocidial maniacs, murderous psychopaths, mad scientists, tyrannical demagogues, and cynical plotting misanthropes, you'll want to talk to someone normal eventually. Unfortunately, her niceness and undemanding nature means that she's often shunted aside by more aggressive islanders. As a result of this, she's mostly out of the limelight despite being the second islander to move in. The fact that she has yet to express a positive preference for any food also contributes to a slower rate of gaining happiness.
All the same, her own personal troubles aside, Kyouko is always well regarded as the kind, tender, and nurturing 'heart' of the island, and she brings a smile to every gathering in which she participates. Can you offer this gentle soul a happier home on your island?
She's actually aegd up so age her down for her 'normal' look. But don't call her a dog, okay? That really ticks her off.
